NASCAR, earlier this year, lost a lawsuit filed against them by AT&T. NASCAR had refused to allow AT&T to change the Cingular name and logo, on Jeff Burton’s stock car, to the AT&T name and logos, citing contractual agreements with NEXTEL/Sprint, which involved exclusive rights with exceptions to pre-existing telecommunications companies.
